Dresden

The European art and culture metropolis is very often beeing called „German Florence“ or „Elb Florence“ because of its numerous baroque palatial buildings, its art treasures and last but not least its superb location at the Elbe river. After the reunification all the reconstruction and restoration work are being massively driven forward so that Dresden will pretty soon get back ist old-new glory.

Die Frauenkirche

The former symbol of Dresden was destroyed completely in 1945. Re-construction began in 1994. Supported by generous donators and sponsors, among them the ANDOR Hotel Europa, the historic building is being re-build until October 2005. Some areas can be visited now.

Die Semperoper

Called as his architect Gottfried Semper the Opera opened their doors at 1841
and brings his good reputation all over the world.
