The Zwinger

With its world known masterpiece of baroque architecture as an ensemble of different pavillion and gallerie buildings – all located around a place – the Zwinger is one of the most famous buildings at Dresden

The architectural highlight of the complex is the so-called wall pavillion with its impressive god and hero sculptures.

Katholic Hofkirche

At the southern bridgeheading of the Augustus-bridge you will find the greatest church of Saxony, 4800 sqm; today called Kathedrale St. Trinitatis – before called „Katholische Hofkirche“, built as counterpart to the protestant Frauenkirche.

Castle

To the most significant renaissance buildings of Germany certainly belongs the Residenzschloss from the 12. century which will be completely reconstructed and restored until the year 2006.
